Whilst we make every endeavour to ensure that your chosen dedication area is available, please note that until you receive a confirmation e-mail we cannot guarantee your dedication in the wood chosen. On the very rare occasion that a wood is no longer available we will work with you to find the best possible alternative.
Each woodland area is dedicated once and once only
A small number of our woods are not available for dedication.
Each wood is unique - there is no such thing as a standard wood as the number of trees in dedicated areas will vary from wood to wood, from young woodland to old, from wood pasture to ancient forest. Woodland is a dynamic growing environment and therefore over time the number of trees in a dedicated area may change.
We reserve the right to substitute another woodland print on the rare occasion that a photograph of your woodland is not available
As FSC wood is occasionally in short supply we reserve the right, on rare occasions, to use a suitable substitute.
Each fulfilment pack is unique, with specially created maps, information sheets and pictures. Please therefore allow 3 weeks from receipt of your application before expecting delivery of your dedication fulfilment pack for Quarter Acres, Half Acres and Acres.
Installing on-site dedications (benches and grove posts) is subject to numerous factors. Please allow a minimum of 8 weeks from receipt of your application.
About our benches and posts
Please read this important information
We allow natural weathering, in keeping with the surroundings. The timber is treated with an approved preservative; wood stain is not used.
Choosing the location
Our woodland managers take great care to choose the most appropriate woods and locations within them; taking into account views, distance from car park or entrance, and any safety factors.
Installation
Installing a bench or post is subject to numerous factors; please allow a minimum of eight weeks from receipt of your application before expecting it to be on site.
Loss or damage
Precautions are taken to minimise the risk of theft or vandalism. In the event of loss through wilful damage, or natural events such as storm, flood or fire, we will replace your bench or post once without charge. If loss or damage occurs a second time, we reserve the right to move the post or bench to a potentially safer location and to request a contribution to cover the cost of replacement. Any subsequent replacement will be at the donor/donor family's request, risk and expense. Seats and posts reaching the end of their life through natural decay will not be replaced unless specially requested, and a replacement charge will be made.
